The design of this stamp collection sheet showcases the most captivating section of Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains, presented across ten stamps arranged in two rows. Each stamp stands alone as a work of art or can be combined to form a panoramic masterpiece. Each stamp has been deliberately assigned a face value of one Swiss franc (equivalent to 100 rappen), symbolically echoing the centennial of the Palace Museum and carrying profound commemorative significance. The stamp border features celadon blue, the most esteemed glaze colour of Song dynasty ceramics—elegant and understated, evoking the refined spirit of the literati. The title inscription at the top, Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains, is a reproduction in the “Slender Gold” script, a distinctive calligraphic style created by Emperor Huizong (r. 1100–1126) of the Song dynasty. Its graceful, upright strokes reflect a unique royal sophistication.

Liechtenstein is one of the first European countries to establish diplomatic relations with China, with ties officially established on September 14, 1950. These examples reflect the deep cultural connection between Liechtenstein and the Palace Museum. Now, marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Liechtenstein Post is once again honored to partner with the Palace Museum to feature its iconic masterpiece Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains, which symbolizes the enduring friendship between our two nations—lasting and deepening across mountains and seas. May both countries enjoy lasting peace and shared prosperity, as harmonious and radiant as the landscapes portrayed in the scroll.
